Mom scrolling instagram accounts for parenting tips

Instagram – getting encouragement & tips for you and your kiddo!

I absolutely LOVE scrolling through Instagram and having helpful hints and tips come across my newsfeed – it helps break up the content, makes me stop and think, AND makes it feel like my Instagram scrolling is actually helping me learn and grow! Win-Win!

I, however, am not yet gifted at the short content and quick tips that fit the vibe and attention of the social platforms. I am a long-form content gal, I have never told a long-story-short in my LIFE!

I may one day lean into a podcast or YouTube channel to share the pondering and wonderful journeys my brain takes as it connects different ideas, brings data points together, and creates stories, narratives or analogies to make sense of the beautiful chaos that is my brain. But quick tips and short attention social media posts just aren’t in the cards for my spicey-brain!

HOWEVER, I follow some AMAZING creators that do an absolutely wonderful job of creating bite-size content, sharing tips and ideas, and maintaining a consistent presence! So if you are looking for recommendations for people to follow, here are my current favorites!

Coach Will

Coach Will is an absolute powerhouse! He brings a level of energy and excitement to the content he creates that makes it abundantly clear that he LOVES what he does! Coach Will is a life coach for kids and has some great content, courses, and community platform to support parents of teens & tweens.

He has a podcast with bite-size (10-15 minute), weekly episodes that have actionable tips and tools for youth. He also does a great job posting regular, relevant content on Instagram.

Check out @Coachingwithwill on Instagram, he has links to all his other content from there!

Dr Becky Kennedy

Dr Becky Kennedy is another wonderful resource for parents! She is a clinical psychologist and mom of 3. She is bringing together her knowledge of attachment theory, mindfulness, emotional regulation, and internal family systems theory to create a new-ish approach to parenting.

Her passion & enthusiasm for her work, coupled with her acknowledgement of her own humanity makes her content so refreshing and accessible! She doesn’t claim to get it perfect and shares from a space of encouraging parents not to strive for perfection. Instead, focus on the repair with our kiddos if and when we trip up.

She has a great TEDtalk, a book, a newly launched parenting app, and a wonderful Instagram @drbeckyatgoodinside with helpful & easy to follow insights, tips and tools for parenting kiddos between 0-18.

Inspiring Instagram Accounts Every T(w)een Parent Should Know About!

These folks are experts, enthusiasts, and passionate learners in the t(w)een-parent relationship space, and they have some great resources for you! Their tips, ideas, scaffolding, resources, and more can support you in navigating the changing landscape of parenting through the t(w)eenage years.

And sometimes taking the learning from knowledge to application can be hard!

If you are interested in a thought-partner to help translate your learning and knowledge into application and doing, coaching can help with that.

Coaching creates a space to talk through abstract concepts and explore how you can integrate and apply them into your life.

It’s a safe space to process and do a postmortem when things go side-ways. To explore different perspectives to understand the different factors at play. To unpack possible blind-spots and opportunities for learning, in a judgement free, curiosity-driven space. And to get to the other side with confidence for how to make it right if needed or how to move through a similar situation next time.

Coaching can be a great space to explore and practice different ways to engage with and communicate more effectively with your t(w)een.
