 love of the game.
Your 20s are full of possibilities: new choices, exciting opportunities
Build skills. Grow Confidence.
Love the game.

Is your kiddo curious about pitching, but not sure where to start? Maybe they’ve joined a team but haven’t put their hand up yet. Maybe they’re thinking about trying out, but need a confidence boost first.

Or maybe your kiddo has already started pitching, is loving it, but struggling to find the strike zone or get the ball across the plate.

Wherever they’re starting from, pitching sessions with Coach Colleen can be a great place to explore, try new things, and build connections. A space to grow in a way that feels encouraging, not overwhelming.

We’ll focus on solid mechanics and body awareness, meeting your kiddo where they’re at and how they learn best. Building confidence and mastering mindset are just as important as technique.

How I Coach

I coach beginner and developing pitchers who want to learn solid mechanics, build coordination, and feel proud of how they show up on the diamond.

I focus on creating a fun, encouraging, low-pressure environment for your kiddo to thrive while they learn and grow.

Through semi-structured small group lessons, coach Colleen provides a combination of group instruction and 1:1 feedback to help ensure your kiddo understands and can apply the technical lessons to strengthen their mechanics.

Struggle with focus? That’s okay. I’ll meet them where they’re at.

Want to help your kid become a strong and capable pitcher while avoiding injury and using their whole body efficiently? That’s my jam.

Not sure which level is right? Just reach out — and let me know anything that might help your kiddo have a great experience.

Let’s build a strong foundation, and have fun doing it!

Why I Coach Pitching

Pitching gave me more than just a skill. It gave me confidence, community, and lifelong resilience. Now, I get to pass that on.

I started pitching in small-town Ontario, where softball was the sport everyone played. Thanks to a coach who believed in me, I found a lifelong love of the game. Even after a shoulder injury, I knew what the game meant to me. And I felt called to coach, helping young athletes feel seen, valued, and capable.

Start Where You Are

Every pitcher starts somewhere. These three coaching levels are designed to meet your kiddo where they’re at and build from there.

Foundation Framework

For brand-new pitchers (U9–U13) building the basics

We go back to square one: how to stand, how to move, how to throw. It’s a gentle, encouraging space to learn the right mechanics so beginners can feel confident to put their hand up at practice.

Technique Tune-Up

For pitchers (U11–U13) who’ve tried pitching but need consistency

Your kid’s got some basics; now it’s about refining them. We’ll build on what they already know and fill in any gaps, helping them feel more confident on the mound.

Explosive Execution

For confident pitchers (U13–U15) ready to add power and speed

We focus on repeatable, powerful delivery, helping your pitcher throw harder, smarter, and more efficiently. It’s a focused space for kids who already feel solid and want to sharpen their skills.

Prefer 1:1 attention?

I also offer private coaching for pitchers who want individualized feedback and flexible scheduling.

Who I Coach

This space is especially great for the kid who…

  • Is curious about pitching but hasn’t tried it yet

  • Wants to build confidence before joining a team

  • Is on a team but hasn’t raised their hand to pitch

  • Is moving up from coach pitch to player pitch and wants to be ready when the season starts, or

  • Has been a self-taught pitcher for a few years and wants to fine-tune technique OR work on accuracy, speed, or new pitches
  • Learns best in a supportive, low-pressure space
  • Learns best in smaller groups with more opportunity for 1:1 attention

  • Could use some help connecting their upper and lower body

  • Gets stuck in their head and just wants to feel more confident on the diamond

Not sure what’s right for you?

Questions I get from pitchers & parents

Young Adults

If your athlete is U11 and under and hasn’t taken a pitching course with me before, the Foundations Framework is usually the best fit.

If they’ve worked with me before, or they’ve attending other pitching clinics and have a strong foundation of mechanics, then regardless of age, Technique Tune Up would be a good fit.

If your athlete is consistently hitting their spots and wants to build speed, power, or learn an off-speed pitch, then Explosive Execution is for you.

Not sure which level is right? Just send a quick intro about your pitcher to Coach Colleen at embrace.coach.colleen@gmail.com. She’ll help you figure out the best fit!

For Foundation Framework, it’s important your kiddo attends each week, especially the first four, as we add a new layer to their foundation each session. If you know you’ll need to miss a class, please reach out to Coach Colleen so we can chat.

For the Technique Tune-Up and Explosive Execution, missing a session or two isn’t a big deal. Just note that the registration fee stays the same regardless of attendance.

It’s the parent’s responsibility to make sure their kiddo has a catcher at every session in order to participate.

If you’re unable to catch and don’t have someone lined up, reach out to Coach Colleen before registering, and she may be able to connect you with another parent or athlete in the community who can help out.

Coach Colleen offers a limited number of half-price and fully funded clinic spots each year for families facing financial barriers.

If cost is a concern, please fill out this financial support request form.
